Children are an important and special part of our congregation. We offer multiple ways for children to come to know how much God loves them! Check some of these out below.

Children During Worship

We love to have children in worship; their wiggles and noises are welcome and often evoke a smile or helpful hands from the community. We are most fully the people of God when we are gathered for worship, service, learning, and fellowship together with all ages. We learn, worship, serve, and build community best when we honor the perspectives and gifts of all ages. During our 10:30 a.m. worship, children are invited to pick up a worship bag filled with activities designed to engage their hearts and minds during the service.

We invite families to use any of the following options as needed…

Nursery

A nurturing and well-equipped space for our youngest children (generally birth to age 5) is available each Sunday morning in the Preschool hallway. The nursery is open each Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for our young children. Our trained and loving staff and volunteers provide a safe and fun environment for those foundational first moments.

Prayground

Playground is like Sunday school, but with a twist! Children from 3 years of age to 5th grade, following the Time with Young Disciples in worship, we provide a child-centered learning environment that offers substantive and meaningful opportunities for faith development. Children begin with a combined gathering with prayer and a Bible story. Then, they will use the lesson to create a craft that will help to bring the story to life in our day and time. We use the new PC(USA) curriculum, Growing in Grace and Gratitude. This curriculum helps kids learn about what following Jesus really looks like in daily life. Children return to worship after Prayground.

Family Special Events

Faithbridge offers seasonal events for children and families. Some of the events we will host this year include a Children’s Christmas Pageant, Children’s Sunday, Parents’ Night Out, and an Easter Egg Hunt.
